AI Minecraft Mod Maker
Describe a mod in natural language. ModGPT writes it, tests it in real Minecraft Java 26.3 and hands you the Fabric .jar.
Every mod is loaded in real Minecraft before you download it.
How to make a Minecraft mod with ModGPT
- Step 1
Describe it
Say what it should do: an item, a block, a mob or a command. A sentence or two is enough.
- Step 2
It builds and tests it
ModGPT writes the code and textures, then loads the mod in Minecraft 26.3. Most builds take a few minutes.

- Step 3
Download the .jar
Put it in your mods folder with Fabric API and start the game with Fabric Loader.
What one sentence turns into
An “Elevator” block: jump while standing on it to teleport up to the next elevator block above, sneak to go down.
- Java codeFabric code for 26.3, built with Gradle
TexturesPixel art for every block and item- Names and recipesIn-game names, and a crafting recipe when the idea needs one
- elevator-1.0.0.jarOne file, already testedModGPT
It makes four kinds of mods:
ItemsTools, food, armor. Example: Sushi Roll
BlocksBlocks that do something. Example: Elevator- PMobsAnimals and monsters that spawn. Example: Penguin
- /CommandsChat commands. Example: /sethome
What happens before you can download
A mod that compiles can still crash the game or do nothing at all. So every build goes through the same run on our servers, and you see the result of each step.
- 1CompileGradle builds the mod against Fabric for Minecraft 26.3. When it fails, ModGPT reads the error and fixes the code, up to 3 rounds.
- 2LoadA Minecraft 26.3 server starts with the mod installed. If the server refuses it, the build stops here.
- 3Check what it promisedIn-game tests check each thing the mod should do, like a recipe, a food value or what a block does, and new mobs are summoned on the server.
- 4ScreenshotThe game client opens the same world and takes screenshots of what happened.
- 5ReportYou get each check, passed or not, with the screenshots, next to the download. A build has 20 minutes; after that it fails and the credits go back.
Storm Blade · Bolt lands on the mob that was hit
Teleport Pad · 12 of 12 checks passed
Storm Blade · Creeper becomes charged
Obsidian Armor · Every piece crafts in survival
What people make with it

Food and recipesA sushi roll crafted from cod and kelp that restores 6 hunger.

Every mod runs in Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 with Fabric Loader, on Windows, macOS or Linux.
ModGPT is not an official Minecraft product and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
ModGPT, MCreator, ChatGPT or a ready-made mod?
These are the four ways people usually end up with a custom mod. They suit different players.
| Way | What you do | What you get | Tested in the game for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| ModGPT | Describe it in a sentence | A Fabric .jar | Yes, on a 26.3 server |
| MCreator | Build it yourself in a visual editor | A mod you export | You test it |
| ChatGPT | Ask for code, then set up Java, Gradle and an IDE to build it | Source code | No |
| A mod from CurseForge or Modrinth | Find one somebody already made | That mod, as it is | By its author |
If you want a working mod without installing any Java tools, ModGPT is the shortest way there. If you want to wire up every bit of logic by hand, MCreator gives you more control.
Other tools as their own sites describe them, read on 23 Oct 2026.

Before you make your first mod
What is an AI Minecraft mod maker?
A tool that turns a written description into a working Minecraft mod. ModGPT writes the code, compiles it and tests it in Minecraft Java 26.3, then gives you the .jar to install.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the mod in plain words; ModGPT writes the Java, fixes compile errors and tests it in the game.
What happens if a build fails?
If no working mod comes out, the credits go back to your account. That includes a build that runs past 20 minutes.
How long does a mod take?
Usually a few minutes. You can close the page, and we email you when it is ready.
Can it make Bedrock add-ons?
ModGPT makes Fabric mods for Minecraft Java Edition 26.3. Bedrock add-ons are not part of it yet.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, you can make and download a mod from your phone. To play it, open it in Minecraft Java Edition on a computer.
Can I change a mod after it is made?
Yes. Describe the change and ModGPT builds a new version on top of the last one that worked, then compiles it, loads it in the game and takes new screenshots. Earlier versions stay in your list.
Does it work with Fabric?
Yes. Every mod is a Fabric .jar. You need Fabric Loader and Fabric API.
Which Minecraft version?
Minecraft Java Edition 26.3.
How do I install the mod?
Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.3, put Fabric API and your mod's .jar in the mods folder, then start the game with the Fabric profile.
Do I own the mod I make?
Yes. The mod you make is yours to use, share and change. Minecraft itself belongs to Mojang, so its usage guidelines still apply when you share a mod.
